All-Staff Training
Emergency awareness training session for all staff in an Australian workplace

Your wardens receive specialised training. They understand evacuation procedures, know how to check their areas, and can guide colleagues to safety. But what about everyone else?

When an alarm sounds, every occupant becomes part of the emergency response. They need to know what different alarms mean, where to go, how to assist colleagues, and what to do if the usual exit is blocked.

General emergency training ensures your entire workforce understands their role in emergency response. It reduces confusion, improves compliance with warden directions, and creates a safer workplace for everyone.

What Participants Will Learn

  • Recognise different alarm types and respond appropriately
  • Navigate evacuation routes including alternative exits
  • Assist colleagues with mobility impairments during evacuations
  • Assess emergencies quickly and decide whether to intervene or evacuate
  • Activate alarms and report to wardens and emergency services
  • Move safely through smoke-affected areas
  • Understand common workplace fire hazards and prevention
  • Coordinate with wardens and building management during incidents

Two Training Tracks

General Awareness

For all employees who need foundational emergency awareness. Covers alarms, evacuation procedures, personal safety, and how to assist colleagues. Duration: 2 hours.

First Response

For designated responders who supplement the warden team. Includes everything in General plus initial response actions, incident management, and communication skills. Duration: 2 hours.

Fire Prevention

Integrated into both tracks. Covers common workplace fire hazards, housekeeping practices that reduce risk, and reporting procedures for hazards and near-misses.

Why General Training Matters

Faster Evacuations

Trained occupants move efficiently and with less confusion. Wardens spend less time explaining and more time performing their critical duties.

Reduced Resistance

Untrained occupants sometimes resist warden directions. Training explains why compliance matters and reduces dangerous delays.

Better Warden Support

Trained occupants can assist their colleagues, reducing the burden on wardens during evacuations.

Reduced Anxiety

Employees who understand emergency procedures feel more confident and less stressed about potential emergencies.
